Summer 2009 dialogue initiaves

Here are few events and initiatives taken by Tibetan and Chinese community in Toronto. Only through intercultural exchange and dialogue,can we the understanding and respect between two communities.We hope this small steps will help bridge the divide on addressing and understanding issues facing both community in Canada and Tibet-China.These are some steps taken for summer 2009

- hiring of one Tibetan and one Chinese student at CCNC-Toronto.

- organizing the film and lecture from Professor Yongdrol K Tsongkha on August 6^th;

- compiling and distributing an 8-page community services resource guide for the Tibetan community;

- organizing a workshop on community services for the Tibetan community at TCCC on August 16^th; and

- organizing the Tibetan artisans showcase at the Toronto Chinatown Festival on August 22 and 23^rd.
